Our Story
Walton Community Health Center provides preventative and primary care to families in and around Walton County, Florida. We opened to close a simple gap: plenty of people here needed a regular source of care and didn’t have one — because of cost, coverage, or distance. Our care is centered around you. We work to build a trusting relationship and support your overall health — preventing illness and managing both short-term and long-term conditions. That means seeing a team that knows your history, not starting over at every visit.
What “Federally Qualified Health Center” Means for You
It’s an acronym you’ll see on our paperwork, so here’s the plain version.
- Everyone is seen. We serve patients regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
- Costs scale to income. Our sliding fee program reduces what uninsured and underinsured patients pay.
- The community governs. A patient-majority board sets direction.
- Quality is measured. We report clinical outcomes to the federal Health Resources and Services Administration every year.
