Located at the Coastal Branch of the Walton Community Health Center, the FSU Family Medicine Residency Program brings 18 family physicians to Walton County to provide excellent care to residents. In partnership with Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast, the program’s physicians deliver full-spectrum family medicine — routine check-ups and preventive care, chronic disease management for conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, women’s health and prenatal care, pediatric and newborn visits, behavioral health support, and in-office procedures — for patients of every age and every stage of life. Because family medicine follows patients wherever they need care, the program’s reach extends well beyond the clinic walls. Physicians also serve the community through partners including the Point Washington Medical Clinic and the Care@Home Program with Walton County Fire Rescue, which brings follow-up care directly into the homes of residents who have difficulty getting to an appointment. Together, these partnerships expand access to high-quality primary care across Walton County while training the next generation of physicians to stay and practice here.
We’re the proud site of the FSU Family Medicine Residency Program
